Sahl Communications, Inc., a full-service public relations and integrated communications firm headquartered in Bethlehem, PA is proud to announce their partnership with the Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team.

The Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team (WWAST) is a charitable organization, raising awareness, educating and inspiring the public about the strength and resiliency of their wounded warriors. This organization is a perfect example of how a positive attitude, commitment, dedication and perseverance allow these warriors to overcome any obstacle. The WWAST is comprised of athletic amputee veterans and active duty servicemen and women who travel the country playing abled-bodied teams in competitive, celebrity and exhibition softball games, bringing their special brand of softball, courage and inspiration.
“We are especially proud to work with SahlComm, a veteran owned business,” said WWAST General Manager, David Van Sleet, who agrees that this strategic partnership is a win for both organizations.
An integral WWAST event is the organization’s annual Kids Camp, where twenty children with amputations are brought to a five-day softball clinic. The WWAST players serve as coaches and mentors during the camp, personally demonstrating to the kids the WWAST motto that “life without a limb is limitless.” WWAST also helps raise funds for medical research and rehabilitation equipment for amputees and educational grants for veteran amputees.
“We are very excited to have this opportunity to work with Sahl Communications,” said Susan Rodio, the Founder and Director of WWAST Kids Camp. “Having them partner with us now, as we make our final plans for this year’s Camp, is ideal. We are fortunate to have their experience and expertise as we work to share the WWAST story.”
