Public is Welcome to Enjoy Poetry, Coffee and Japanese Treats
Vienna, Va.— Tarun Reddy, author of the coffee-infused haiku book, Brew-ku: Where Coffee Intersects with Life, will be at Sweet City Desserts in West Vienna, VA on Sunday, February 17, 2013 from 2:00–4:00 p.m. for a public book signing and poetry reading event.
Brew-ku is a true tribute to the connection with coffee, the art of poetry and the beauty of the Japanese language. The book is a dynamic collection of over 200 original haikus related to coffee, each one accompanied by its Japanese translation. Strewn throughout the book is also a variety of entertaining coffee trivia.
“I’m looking forward to meeting a diverse group of haiku and coffee lovers at Sweet City and sharing with them the eclectic story behind my work,” said Reddy.
In Brew-ku, Reddy takes the everyday subject of coffee and transforms it into an artistic connection, honing in on coffee’s personality and universal experiences in his fun, reflective and snarky haikus.
In addition to signing books and enjoying the specialty coffee drinks and Japanese treats of Sweet City Desserts, the event also includes a reading of select haikus and trivia by Reddy. Sweet City Desserts hosts a cozy, chic atmosphere, complete with an extensive variety of creatively decorated and crafted desserts and drinks.
Brew-ku is published by dMon Publishing, LLC and may be purchased through Amazon in both hard copy ($12.95) and e-book ($2.99) forms. Brew-ku will also be available for purchase at the book-signing event at Sweet City Desserts.
